Red Barn Studio’s original story, Divine Justice, poses a deeply searching question: What happens when the world you dreamed would be wonderful instead brings injustice and pain?
Scarred by years of cruelty from his parents, the embittered fox Dr. Klaus Isambard hardened himself toward life, God, and everyone else. Convinced that Heaven just stood by as his dreams were stolen, Isambard's thirst for vengeance grew into an all-consuming vision: Rule the world and end injustice—through absolute control.
A Troubled World
A Troublemaker
A World of Double Trouble
Unable to accept Dr. Isambard’s chilling "Mandate X" in good conscience, the devout and gentle community of chickens on Pearl Island faces a difficult dilemma of their own: Should they sacrifice their lives for their faith, or abandon their faith to save their lives?
Yet, just as the world seems on the brink of destruction, the timely arrival of an old wise owl introduces a third path—one that shakes the very foundation of Isambard’s kingdom: Sacrifice your life... and save it.
Divine Justice is a passion project of Chris Lascelles. There is much work to be done and openings exist for suitably qualified people to join the team to improve and finish the film (more on that below). Here is a brief outline of the project history:
The conception of a fox vs. henhouse story combined with a lifelong desire to make a movie set the project in motion.
Learning Blender. Exploring the technical difficulty of modeling, retopology, shading, rigging, animation etc. Steep learning curves, but doable.
Attempting to write a screenplay, then getting live training from Corey Mandell, one of Hollywood's most successful screenwriting trainers.
Assembling a coordinated production pipeline, deciding format, color management, software choices etc. Developing custom software for a scalable render farm.
Multiple screenplay revisions, character prototype modeling, story world development.
Auditioning, casting and recording the main characters.
Producing demo material and seeking to expand the production team. If you are a skilled animator/blender artist, or skilled at post production sound and are interested in learning more about this project, reach out with the form below. Thanks!
